Corona crisis: Safety of customers, staff and supply chain is the top priority

The Corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) has been spreading worldwide since the end of December. In this time as in others, the safety of our staff, customers and supply chain is our top priority. As the virus continues to spread, Pilz has taken additional measures. Business trips by Pilz employees to those countries categorised as risk areas are categorically suspended and other trips are only permitted with the express approval of management. Direct contact with customers and customer care is guaranteed through telephone calls, video conferences and our customer support team.

Attendance at exhibitions under review

The current situation is also affecting various exhibitions and events worldwide. Some exhibitions have already been rescheduled and at Pilz we are currently reviewing which we will attend. We are also looking at other alternatives for providing information about product innovations and automation solutions. This year’s Hannover Messe has been postponed to July, but due to the uncertainty of the continuing situation Pilz has decided not to attend.

Pilz's supply chain is secure

The spread of the Corona virus has absolutely no effect on our ability to deliver: to enable us to continue to supply all our customers in the best way possible, production of some products has been moved from the Chinese factory to our European sites, who are currently working flat out. Should any bottlenecks arise in the meantime, we will be in touch at an early stage to inform you about alternative products.
