We have systematically expanded the functions of the modular safety relays myPNOZ. The additional features offer significantly more application options and even greater flexibility. The focus is always on individual creation in the proven online tool myPNOZ Creator, as well as simple commissioning and operation of myPNOZ. An overview of the new possibilities is provided below:
More safe inputs in one module
The input module yi5 (PNOZ yi5 8DI variable) has four safe inputs, so that fewer modules are required for the same number of safety functions. That saves costs and space in the control cabinet. As a result, applications with up to 30 safe 2-channel input functions per myPNOZ system are now possible.
Group OR with safe input functions
A "Group OR" can be implemented with the input module yi6 (PNOZ yi6 4DI bypass). This allows several linked safe input functions to be used as alternatives. For example, if the application requires that grouped safe input functions in automatic mode can be overridden by another safe input function in manual mode.
Monitoring and control of gate locking devices
Safe guard locking on gate systems can be controlled and monitored with the input module yi7 (PNOZ yi7 lock). It is ideal for safety gate monitoring with the safety locking devices PSENmlock and PSENslock. Of course, the module can also control and monitor all other common guard locking devices.
Monitoring of N/C / N/O and single channel sensors
The input module yi8 (PNOZ yi8 4DI NO/NC) is specifically designed for monitoring sensors with one normally closed and one normally open contact, such as the magnetic safety switch PSENmag. However, it can also be used to monitor single-channel sensors with test pulse, such as the safety light barriers PSENopt 2S/4S.
Combination of time-delayed and direct switching outputs
The output module yo5 (PNOZ yo5 2NO 2NO t) has four outputs, of which two delay-on or delay-off outputs may be combined with two direct switching outputs.
Signal outputs for simple diagnostics
All input modules (yi) and all input/output modules (yio) now have a signal output to forward the status of the input function to a higher-level controller. This status can be used to visualise the input function and for other standard functions, and enables faster troubleshooting and localisation of triggered safety functions.
You create your individual myPNOZ simply using the user-friendly myPNOZ Creator. You choose the required safety functions, and myPNOZ Creator puts the ideal hardware together. You can check your configuration with the simulation function. If everything fits, your myPNOZ is ordered with just a few quick clicks.
Each myPNOZ is pre-assembled in accordance with your individual configuration, tailor-made by us in batch size 1. We also set the parameters to suit your specifications, e.g. regarding the start type or time delay. Your modular relay will be sent to you following a system test.
myPNOZ is fast and easy to install. You’ll receive your myPNOZ ‘ready for plug and play’. No software is required for commissioning. And the time and effort required for wiring has also been significantly reduced.
<span lang="DE" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Tailor-made safety and clever product features are convincing attributes of the modular safety relay. It consists of a head module and a maximum of eight expansion modules, and ensures safe monitoring of 2 to 30 safe input functions such as emergency stop, safety gates, guard locking, safety light curtains, two-hand IIIA/C controls and enabling switches.
From the wide range of available modules, you choose - or myPNOZ Creator selects - only those modules with the functions you actually need. If your requirements change, myPNOZ can be modified and expanded at any time – giving you maximum flexibility.
Your myPNOZ is delivered pre-assembled, set-up and tested. Ready for ‘plug and play’ commissioning; no additional software and no complicated wiring.
With myPNOZ you can monitor parts of the system independently of one another in separate safety zones. OR-links between input functions can also be implemented as an option.
You define the safety functions you need in myPNOZ Creator. myPNOZ Creator automatically selects the ideal hardware and the corresponding sequence of the modules.
Each input module monitors two safe input functions, meaning you require fewer modules. The narrow widths of 12.5 mm or 17.5 mm on myPNOZ are another convincing feature.
