CE marking

May a machine that was built prior to 1995 and therefore has no CE mark simply be sold on? Which documents need to be provided in this case?

Yes, provided the machine is sold on within the EU and is still in its original state. The new operator merely has to carry out a hazard assessment in accordance with the industrial safety regulations (in Germany or in other EU countries in accordance with other national laws).

The instructions for use must be included with the machine as documentation.
