AU MachineSAFE Comprehensive

MachineSAFE Comprehensive has been developed to provide detailed knowledge of machinery safety. The course explores the key aspects of safety control systems, mechanical and electrical safety design for machinery with specific references to Australian legislation and standards.

MachineSAFE Comprehensive is an additional day to the MachineSAFE Introduction course which includes the key points of machinery safety including methodology for risk assessments, guarding, safety principles and safety components with reference to WHS legislation and Australian Standard AS/NZS 4024.1 – 2019 Safety of Machinery.

The course is updated every year to include the latest information on machinery safety standards for Australia as well as the various state based legislation.

• Risk Assessment for Plant
• Mechanical Guarding
• Protective Devices

Day 2

• Safety Control Systems (Categories, Performance Levels, SIL and Security)
• Safety of Hydraulics & Pneumatics
• Electrical Safety (AS/NZS 4024.1204)
• Safety Validation
• Risk Assessment Exercise
• Discussion on Safe Isolation practices
