The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)

Brief overview: The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) and European Supply Chain Directive (CSDDD)

Since 1 January 2023, the law applies to companies with at least 3,000 employees. Companies with at least 1,000 employees are affected from 1 January 2024.

The law regulates corporate responsibility for compliance with human rights in supply chains. It also ensures compliance with the upcoming European Supply Chain Directive. Specifically, companies are required to observe human rights and certain environmental due diligence obligations in an appropriate manner. The company’s obligations are categorised accordingly:

  • The company's own business operations, direct contractual partners, indirect suppliers
  • The law covers various human rights conventions and is intended to prevent these from being violated
  • It also addresses environmental obligations that companies must comply with

Pilz is committed to human rights and environmental protection. The LkSG has been implemented in accordance with the specifications and is regularly monitored.

Pilz is represented on the assessment platforms IntegrityNext and EcoVadis (/EVID HW072079), among others. You are welcome to view the profile and scorecard directly:
