During the Cyberattack, I was working with a customer on completing their full Pilz Solution. While I made sure the customer was aware of our cyberattack situation, I also made sure he knew that this wasn’t going to be an excuse. Pilz would still do everything in its power to follow through on his project.
Since we did not have technical data to reference, Doug Burkmire (CMSE®, Regional Sales Manager) and Mike Cannata (CMSE®, OEM Sales Manager) used their vast knowledge of Pilz products to help find the individualized solution for this customer.
When the customer needed assistance with CE markings for their machinery, Glyn Garside (CMSE®, Safety Consultant) stepped up and traveled to the customer’s location to review the machinery and drawings, helping them understand what they needed to enable their machine to display the CE mark.
The customer awarded Pilz the project and placed their order just a few days after Thanksgiving. With limited manufacturing, Lori Low (Operations Manager) was able to use her magic and get the products delivered to the customer in a timely matter.
While the customer was kept in the communication loop all along, he mentioned how he appreciated the extra steps Pilzlers took to make sure his needs were met. “Thank you kindly for the detailed info. I am a big fan of communication….for better or worse. Anything changes on below update, let me know. Have a great day! – Supply Chain Manager”
In my personal opinion, the main reason we survived the cyberattack is because of our personal relationships we built and continue to build with customers. We go the extra mile to make sure their needs are met. Safety is important in the work environment and Pilz Employees care about the safety of their customers. Together, we truly are stronger than ever.
