Structured, carefully thought-out processes are crucial to ensure smooth automation processes.  Our CAD collaborations lay the foundation for end-to-end, future-proof solutions throughout the entire lifecycle of plant and machinery, from design through to operation and maintenance.  

Together with our partners EPLAN, WSCAD and Zuken , our goal is to provide digital support for planning and documentation processes in engineering and to guarantee high data consistency. 

EPLAN is a leading provider of software and services designed to efficiently organise, simplify and accelerate engineering processes in the fields of electrical engineering, automation and mechatronics. 

Pilz is part of the EPLAN Partner Network (EPN), which was established early in 2021 and pools the worldwide expertise of more than 60 cooperation partners. The aim of the network is to simplify system integration for customers through cross-vendor collaboration. The EPN partnerships are based on binding, mutually defined goals for developing and supporting interfaces. This benefits both the end users of the various software solutions and the partner companies involved. Pilz has been a technology partner in the EPN network right from the start.

Product macros for our devices are available to our customers in the EPLAN Data Portal. You’ll find EPLAN macros, article data und 3D control cabinet macros for our products directly in the EPLAN Tool.

This means that data can be accessed via our website as well as via the EPLAN Data Portal. Our macros are available in German and English. Meaningful product and component images help you choose the right product macros. What's more, the connection diagrams integrated into our 3D control cabinet macros in EPLAN Pro Panel make it easy to create a reliable digital twin of your control cabinet. Standardised macros, tested by Pilz, reduce the amount of documentation required, save time and increase planning certainty. 

With eBUILD Free, it is quite easy for you yourself to configure the circuit diagram that suits the respective product.

WSCAD is the first AI-powered E-CAD software designed specifically for mechanical engineering, building automation and the electrical trade. These powerful engineering solutions help users to automate routine tasks and implement the entire product development process in a more efficient and structured manner.

The cooperation between Pilz and WSCAD enables customers to access verified Pilz engineering data directly within the WSCAD system.

This data no longer needs to be created manually; instead, it is available to download via the WSCAD Universe platform and can be used directly in the E-CAD system. This reduces errors and ensures high data quality. The result is significantly shorter project runtimes, while complex planning processes are noticeably simpler.

During the first phase of the collaboration, the Pilz engineering data was prepared so that it could be converted into WSCAD format. The next step is to create the relevant logic macros in the WSCAD system ELECTRIX AI.

Zuken is an established provider of engineering solutions and related services for the development of electrical and electronic products. These solutions support the consistent and traceable development of complex systems across various engineering disciplines.

Part of the cooperation between Pilz and Zuken focuses on providing practical support for planning and engineering processes in the field of automation technology.

Pilz provides users of the Zuken System E3.series with verified engineering data for this purpose. Zuken is developing a solution to convert and prepare this data for use within the E3.series environment.

Once the data has been prepared, Pilz carries out random checks to ensure high data quality. The quality-assured data is then available to download via the CADENAS platform and can be used directly in existing engineering environments.

Integrating the data into the Zuken system enables it to be used seamlessly within existing CAD and engineering processes and supports consistent workflows in electrical design and development.
