The PES - Sensor boards are modular training systems from the Pilz Education Systems series - PES. They consist of modern, industrial components and can be used for practical training at vocational schools and universities, for example.

The PES systems are used for training purposes and can illustrate the function of a plant or machine. They also have various safety and automation functions, which are clearly arranged on boards.

You'll find it all on the boards: In accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and Machinery Regulation 2023/1230, plant and machinery must be fitted with an E-STOP device so that hazards can be averted or prevented in the case of an emergency. This is illustrated by the E-STOP pushbutton PITestop. A two-hand pushbutton or enabling switch is used to observe processes in the danger zone while the safety gate is open. The coded safety switch PSENcode takes over the safety gate monitoring function. Illuminated pushbuttons can be used to switch the dangerous movement on or off.

Select from three versions of the sensor boards:

Sensor board I: Training system module with E-STOP device, two-hand pushbutton (PITjog, to protect persons who observe processes in the danger zone while the safety gate is open) and coded safety switch for safety gate monitoring.

Sensor board II: Training system module with E-STOP device, three-stage enabling switch (PITenable, as manually operated control device when working in the danger zone) and coded safety switch for safety gate monitoring.

Sensor board III: Training system module with E-STOP device, three-stage enabling switch (PITenable, as manually operated control device when working in the danger zone) and coded safety switch for safety gate monitoring. The process is simulated at a safe, reduced speed while “Set-up mode” is active. Two initiators monitor the rotary disk of a motor.
