Webinar - Introduction to Risk Assessment

Join us for this webinar where we will introduce AS/NZS 4024.1201 General principles for design—Risk assessment and risk reduction. The webinar includes a practical demonstration of the risk assessment process, as it is applied to machinery.

Did you know in Australia there were 107,335 serious workers compensation claims made in 2017-18? That’s almost 300 serious incidents occurring every day. A Risk Assessment is the simplest way to recognise and control hazards in the workplace, reduce incidents and subsequently save lives and limbs, as well as costs, by being proactive.

Machines can help improve production efficiency in the workplace. However, their moving parts, sharp edges, and hot surfaces are often the cause of serious workplace injuries such as crushed fingers or hands, amputations, burns, blindness or even death. Safeguards are essential to protect workers from injury. During this presentation we will introduce AS/NZS 4024.1201 General principles for design—Risk assessment and risk reduction.

The webinar includes a practical demonstration of the risk assessment process, as it is applied to machinery.
