Due to a recent structural realignment, PILZ ANZ has created the new role of Manager of Operations & HR, leading a team of five across Customer Support, Logistics and IT.

This is a broad, hands-on leadership position sitting on the Senior Management Team and reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will be the central point of coordination for operations, people, facilities and compliance, while also playing a key role in continuous improvement and strategic project delivery.

This is an ideal role for someone ready to step up into senior management, who enjoys working across all elements of a small business and has the confidence to guide, influence and improve how things are done — locally and in partnership with global colleagues.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end operations and HR across Australia and New Zealand
  • Manage customer support, logistics, inventory, pricing and SAP/ERP-based business processes
  • Lead HSEQ, safety and quality, including ISO 9001 certification and incident response
  • Act as the first point of contact for all people, customer and operational matters
  • Manage office premises, facilities and IT coordination
  • Lead, coach and develop a team across Customer Support, Logistics and IT
  • Contribute to budgeting, cost control and operational reporting
  • Partner closely with the Managing Director, Finance and global PILZ stakeholders on continuous improvement and project delivery
  • Represent the business, alongside senior leadership, on regulatory and compliance matters

Who You Are

You are a confident, commercially minded Operations and HR leader who enjoys being across the engine room of a business.

You bring strong reasoning and judgement, with the ability to balance quality, compliance, customer expectations and commercial outcomes. You communicate clearly, influence constructively and build trust easily across all levels — from senior leaders to operational teams and external stakeholders.

You enjoy creating structure, consistency and best practices, and are comfortable working hands-on while contributing at a senior leadership level. You thrive in technically sophisticated, values-led environments and are motivated by purpose, safety and continuous improvement.

Your background will include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Operations, HR, Logistics or a related discipline
  • Broad operations and HR leadership experience within a technical, engineering, automation or industrial environment
  • Strong experience across the full HR lifecycle, including compliance, performance and employee relations
  • Exposure to SAP or ERP systems, operational reporting and process improvement
  • Practical experience with HSEQ, safety and quality systems, ideally including ISO 9001
  • Experience leading and developing a small, multi-disciplinary team
