Pilz Automation Safety is currently seeking an IT Support Technician reporting to our US Headquarters in Canton, Michigan.
Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Triage employee trouble calls & provide support to 80+ users in the US & Canada with a multi-nation enterprise structure
- Create documentation regarding cases/solutions & logging tickets
- Support the IT Manager
- Diagnose & repair software & hardware problems
- Provide remote & in-person/hands-on workstation support
- Image & install Windows operating systems along with associated software & hardware
- Track assets within the IT department & those assigned to employees
- Provide user training as needed
- Navigate & troubleshoot user-level issues through & relating to VLANs, VPN, & various remote access technologies
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IS/IT or equivalent combination of an Associate’s degree plus two (2) years’ experience
- Excellent technical knowledge in Windows 10 & Office 365 at a professional IT level
- Three (3) years’ experience providing Level II user & desktop support
- Experience working in a professional IT environment & applying best practices
- Previous experience installing Windows operating systems for a business environment
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with the ability to document calls swiftly & succinctly
- Able to type & navigate computer environments in a competent & professional manner & speed
- Able to learn new technologies & assimilate new knowledge quickly
- Willing to lean Pilz products & processes
- Self-managed & motivated
- Extremely organized & detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access
- A+ Certification
- Network+ Certification
- Experience with computer imaging
