Communication modules from the remote I/O system PSSuniversal 2 are used as a head module, for connection to your existing system architecture. When combined with the I/O modules for PSSuniversal 2 you have a tailored solution for your periphery expansion. The Ethernet-based fieldbus modules are connected to the higher level controller via standard industrial fieldbus protocols. The corresponding failsafe protocol is always supported in addition to the fieldbus protocol.
