Ethernet address

The Ethernet address is the fixed, physical address of a bus subscriber on Ethernet. On interfaces made by Pilz GmbH & Co. KG it is possible to read the respective Ethernet address from the front panel.

Many publications on Ethernet contain
terms that are synonymous with the term "Ethernet address", such as "MAC-ID" and "network address", for example.
