With the automation system PSS 4000, you can implement projects for safety and automation. Both worlds merge to form an optimally matched system which offers controllers in two performance classes.

The PSSuniversal PLC controllers are a suitable solution for interlinked, complex plants. They can be used as part of a network or as a stand-alone system. The PSSuniversal multi controllers are suitable for use on machines or in small plants. In combination with I/O modules, you can use these controllers to create control systems which are tailored to your individual requirements.

The PSSuniversal multi and PSSuniversal PLC controllers can be connected without problem in existing automation architectures and to various third-party controllers. They can then be used as a PLC controller or as a periphery system – for both safety and automation.

Applications and approvals

Our comprehensive know-how, covering a multitude of applications, has been applied in the controllers for the automation system PSS 4000. Different functions are available, to allow you to implement a wide variety of applications. In addition, the PLC controllers with the -R marking have special approvals. Furthermore, they meet standards which permit them to be used in the rail sector, for lifts/escalators and for fire protection. For hostile environments, we offer robust PLC controllers (-T), which can be used in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C.

PSSuniversal PLC controller

PSSuniversal PLC is the "all-rounder" of the PSS 4000 automation system. The programmable logic controller (PLC) can be programmed in the main EN/IEC 61131-3 languages for standard and safety tasks and can be configured using the graphics program editor PASmulti. Standardisation is easy, thanks to ready-made software blocks.

PSSuniversal multi controller

The PSSuniversal controller can be used as a stand-alone control system or it can be integrated in the system network with PSSuniversal PLC, PSSuniversal I/O and network components. It is suitable for applications on machines or smaller plants. The PSS controller is configured and programmed using the graphics program editor PASmulti.
