Machinery Directive – Compact guide through the standards
The safety of machinery in Europe is laid down and regulated uniformly in the Machinery Directive (MD). Under the MD there is a European body of standards, which uses detailed rules to specify the requirements of a safe machine. These concrete technical specifications are enshrined in standards. European standards for machinery safety are divided into:
- Overarching standards, so-called A standards (basic safety standards)
- Generic product standards, the B standards
- Product-specific standards, the C standards
Our new poster on "Protective measures for plant and machinery – Important harmonised standards in accordance with the Machinery Directive" offers you a compact guide through the jungle of standards. It also contains an overview of our specific solutions, so at the same time you gain an impression of our safety-related products.
