Marketing and HR Specialist

Pilz Automation Safety LP is currently seeking a Marketing and HR Specialist for our US headquarters in  Canton, MI.  The Marketing and HR Specialist will report directly to the Human Resources Manager while working closely with the Marketing Manager.  This position will focus on the marketing activities as well as recruitment and on-boarding of all positions with Pilz Automation Safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing Activities

  • Develop and execute a strategic social media campaign to reach all target audiences
  • Coordinate new employee on-boarding with regard to marketing materials
  • Work with key Pilz employees and customers to help generate and disseminate White Papers and Application Stories
  • Manage New Customer Welcome program
  • Assist in sales lead follow up and lead tracking
  • Assist in development and printing of marketing materials
  • Serve as back up for other Marketing functions such as PR, trade shows, advertising, web services (SurveyMonkey, Constant Contact, Hoovers, etc.) and updating the Pilz website
  • Serve as Inside Sales back up for literature requests
  • Other duties as assigned

HR Activities

  • Develop, initiate and maintain recruiting plans including job boards/ads, career fairs, and third party support (i.e. recruiters)
  • Work closely with hiring managers to create and update job descriptions/job postings
  • Source candidates for current openings and network to develop a pipeline of candidates
  • Coordinate with the Marketing department to develop and grow social media and professional networking presence
  • Manage full recruiting lifecycle including: sourcing, applicant tracking, phone interviews, scheduling and participating in in-person interviews, administering pre-employment screenings, assembling offer packets, and delivering offers
  • Maintain frequent communication with hiring managers regarding status of open searches
  • Act as primary point of contact for candidates
  • Provide recommendations regarding salaries based on research and data
  • Assist in the creation of succession plans
  • Track recruiting costs and ROI
  • Serve as back up for other HR functions such as time-keeping, payroll, on-boarding, and employee record maintenance
  • Ensure process and procedures are compliant with state and federal requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree with two (2) to three (3) years of experience in Marketing and/or Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience utilizing and leveraging social media
  • Intermediate MS Office user (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to learn Pilz products and procedures
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and team oriented

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resources or Marketing
  • Experience with full lifecycle of recruitment
  • Knowledgeable of HR laws
  • Previous experience recruiting for technical positions
  • Interest in technology
