NZ MachineSAFE Comprehensive

MachineSAFE Comprehensive has been developed to provide detailed knowledge of machinery safety. The course explores in detail the key aspects of mechanical and electrical safety design for machinery with specific references to New Zealand legislation and standards, along with validation and an introduction to CE Marking.

MachineSAFE Comprehensive is an additional day to the MachineSAFE Introduction course which includes the key points of machinery safety including methodology for risk assessments, guarding, safety principles and safety control systems with reference to HSW legislation and New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4024.1 – 2019 Safety of Machinery.

The course is updated every year to include the latest information on machinery safety standards and legislation for New Zealand.

By the end of the course participants will:

• have an understanding of HSW legislation that applies to plant 
• know key aspects of machinery safety with reference to the HSW legislation and AS/NZS 4024.1-2019 Safety of machinery
• know the key factors and parameters for design of safety related parts of control systems (SRP/CS) 
• understand the process on how to validate the compliance of machinery
