Tony Catterson - New Zealand Manager

Tony Catterson

Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE®), Certified Expert in Functional Safety (CEFS)

Tony is at the helm of Pilz New Zealand and his experience spans decades in safety, industrial automation and electronics. He is a solution-focused, machinery safety expert across all industry segments with a passion for protecting people, plants and the environment. He enjoys being actively involved in the delivery of sales, training and consulting services to customers.

Tony completed his NZCE in Electrical and Electronics, at the Auckland Institute of Technology, whilst serving in the Royal New Zealand Navy. Adding to his impressive list of credentials, he also recently gained his NEBOSH International General Certificate and Level 5, NZ Certificate in Adult Training & Tertiary Education. Tony is a Practitioner Member of the NZ Institute of Safety Management (NZISM) and a member of the joint AS/NZS Machinery Safety Standard Committee. He is also a Member of the NZ Institute of Management and Leadership.

Suhas Shanbhogue - Senior Safety Engineer

Suhas has recently joined Pilz bringing more than 20 years of mechanical engineering and safety experience. He has specialist skills and knowledge in machinery design, CE marking, food processing and safety, heavy engineering, and regulatory compliance for machine safety. Suhas is passionate and knowledgeable about safety and compliance and enjoys working with customers to help them achieve their operational goals.

Suhas has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering Studies, specialising in Mechanical Engineering. He has completed the EHEDG Advanced Course on Hygienic Design Certification from the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group.
