Cloud computing

The provision of seemingly unlimited visualised IT resources (e.g. Data memory) that is managed by providers. Access takes place via a network, usually the Internet. The user can adapt the resources to their current needs. Several users usually share a resource or a service.

The term Cloud means that the actual physical location of the infrastructure of these services is neither relevant to the users, nor traceable by them.
