PNOZmulti & Co.: Standardised safety solution for test benches

The Nuremberg-based special purpose machinery manufacturer testFAB42 produces test equipment with a clearly defined performance profile, including compact test benches with swivel hood and ready-to-install test cells. The aim is to provide efficient solutions, including ergonomic workflows, which prioritise the safety of operating personnel when working with voltages of up to 1,500 volts. For over 10 years, testFAB42 has relied on PNOZmulti as the central safety component in its test benches: thanks to the small controller and safe sensor technology PSEN, testFAB42 has largely been able to standardise its test benches over time. Today, testFAB42 customers receive a test bench with an integrated Pilz control and safety package, comprising products as well as an optional service package including CE marking.

Thanks to additional expansion modules for PNOZmulti, testFAB42 can meet customer requirements without any further PLCs or additional intelligence. The small controller evaluates the signals from all the installed electrical components, e.g. safety gate, and shuts down the system in a safety-related manner in the case of an emergency. As in the case of the testing device that probes the performance limits of an inverter.
