Using guards to protect covers and flaps

Do you want to protect covers and flaps so that they cannot be opened unintentionally?

Find out how to use Pilz safety technology to meet the requirements of EN ISO 14119, minimise risks and ensure the safe, smooth operation of your machine.

Well-tried solutions include the safe small controller PNOZmulti or the safety relays PNOZ, in combination with safety switches such as PSENcode or PSENmag.

Using safety locking devices on guards to protect safety gates with full-body access

Special protective measures are required if operators have to fully enter a machine's danger zone. By fitting safety locking devices to guards and ensuring the implementation complies with EN ISO 14119, you can prevent safety gates being opened unintentionally during dangerous machine movements. This way you can reliably protect staff, reduce the possibility of manipulation and guarantee a safe, efficient production process.

Choose safety locking devices in conjunction with PSENslock 2 and PSENmlock, the safety gate system PSENmgate and the Identification and Access Management (I.A.M.) system.

Using electrosensitive protective equipment to safeguard material infeed and outfeed points

Do you need to ensure that materials are fed in and out of your machine safely without disrupting the production flow? Find out how you can protect people and create safe access areas while guaranteeing high plant availability using electrosensitive protective equipment and a standard-compliant implementation in accordance with EN IEC 61496-1/-2 and EN ISO 13855.

The safety controller solution, combined with the safety light curtains PSENopt for body, hand and finger protection, also offers optional muting and blanking functionalities.

Safeguarding of danger zones and rear access protection

Each application has individual requirements – not only in terms of safeguarding the danger zone, but also regarding user permissions.

For example, find out how to meet the requirements of EN IEC 61496-1/-2/-3, guarantee safe rear access protection and restart protection and strike the perfect balance between productivity and safety.

By combining safety controllers with safety light curtains, safety scanners, safe radar systems and the Identification and Access Management (I.A.M.) system, you can reliably protect people while at the same time ensuring that safety-related actions may only be carried out by authorised staff.
