Pilz at FACHPACK 2024, Hall 3c, Stand 3c-411 – Safety and Security for safe packaging

The automation company Pilz will be presenting its solutions for the packaging industry which include both Safety and Industrial Security at FACHPACK trade fair (24–26 September 2024). The Pilz highlights include the flexible sensor technology solutions PSEN: The focus will be on safe guard locking and monitoring of safety gates on machinery and complex plants. The safe identification and access management system I.A.M. including security will be another key focus. Visitors to the stand can also learn more about Pilz’ services for machinery safety.

Visitors will learn more about Pilz’ tailor-made support. Our support will guide you from risk assessment to safety validation throughout the whole lifecycle of packaging machines.
Moreover Pilz’ support package includes the TÜV-certified, automated solution for safe monitoring of cardboard feed. Experts will be using an exhibition model to demonstrate how this economical solution optimises time and costs.

Safe sensor technology for “safe” danger zones
Safe monitoring of safety gates and danger zones on packaging machines is essential for high productivity. Using the “safety gate tower” exhibition model, visitors can clearly see how this can be efficiently realised using Pilz’ safety locking devices as a complete package with compatible control technology. The automation company’s latest safety locking devices PSENmlock mini and PSENslock II will be showcased as well. Using an exhibition model, Pilz experts will also be demonstrating how feed and discharge processes can be designed more cost-efficiently using safety light curtains PSENopt II.

Access management – Safe and Secure
How intelligent identification and access systems on packaging machines can reduce manipulation will be another topic. Therefore Pilz’ comprehensive access management system I.A.M. for packaging machines will be on board as well. Among other things, the company will be demonstrating how PITmode fusion, as part of I.A.M., can be used to realise secure and safe access as well as safe operating mode selection in one system. In Nuremberg, the expert for safe automation will also be demonstrating how digital maintenance safeguarding in the I.A.M. portfolio – “Key-in-pocket” – flexibly meets the requirements of both Safety (protection against hazardous restart) and Industrial Security (protection against tampering during maintenance work).

Pilz is exhibiting in Hall 3c, Stand 3c-411 on the shared Packaging Valley stand.
