Sales Professional for the Eastern GTA / Eastern ON territory

We manufacture a full range of automation and control products. Our services start with product and safety training and end at turnkey solutions for the safe automation of industrial machinery. Pilz Automation Safety Canada L.P. is currently seeking a Sales Professional for the Eastern GTA / Eastern ON territory, who is an enthusiastic and optimistic team player with a positive attitude. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Pilz Canada.


Duties and Responsibilities: (not limited to)

  • Promote all Pilz products and services
  • Develop a close relation to the customer
  • Hold sales presentations at customer locations and trade shows
  • Identify, quote, and sell the appropriate product, service or combination of both for the customer’s application
  • Increase the sales within the assigned territory by an agreed upon percentage
  • Travel within your territory as required to meet with customers
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within your assigned region
  • Work with the Distribution and SI partners in your territory
  • Train the Distribution and SI partners on Pilz products
  • Conduct quarterly review meetings with the Distribution partner
  • Maintain the data contained within the CRM-tool
  • Maintain the Sales pipeline
  • Develop the annual sales projections for your territory
  • Collect and communicate competitor information to the rest of the sales team
  • Attend meetings in the new Canadian HQ in Mississauga
  • Attend meetings in the US or other subsidiaries
  • Attend meetings and training in German HQ
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other technical degree (CET) or similar;  3-5 years experience in automation sales or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office user
  • Ability to speak to large groups of people
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • A high level of autonomy
  • Ability to accumulate and demonstrate technical knowledge
  • Willingness to learn Pilz products and procedures
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and team oriented
