Safety & Security on Tour 2026

Date: 1 Oct 2026 - 22 Oct 2026

The countdown is on – are your machines ready for 2027?

The new EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 will come into force on 20 January 2027. This means that manufacturers and operators must act now to avoid being prohibited from operating or placing machinery on the market in the future.

The Machinery Regulation brings about far-reaching changes:

  • Cybersecurity becomes a mandatory component of machinery safety.
  • Software is classified as a safety component.
  • Operators may become manufacturers as a result of the changes, with all the associated obligations.
  • There are new testing requirements for high-risk machinery.
  • Digitalisation, AI and connectivity require new safety concepts.

This means:
Anyone who fails to implement the changes in time risks delays to CE marking, high retrofitting costs, or even plant shutdown.

The new Machinery Regulation and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) are key to securing machinery!

To put this insight into practice, we will address the following key areas:

  • Balancing regulatory deadlines and cost-effectiveness in the context of the Machinery Regulation and the CRA
  • Protection against corruption in practice
  • OT security as a business factor

Why the time pressure is building now:

! New requirements.

! Greater responsibility.

! There is no option for a transition period.
