David Machanek appointed as new managing director of Pilz Austria

The long-standing Vice President of Sales David Machanek takes over the management of Pilz Austria on May 1st, 2020 and detached Walter Eichner at the top of Pilz Austria.

Few people know Pilz Austria and its customers as extensively as David Machanek. David Machanek started his career at Pilz at the Customer Support in March 2002. In 2007 he switched to sales, which he has headed since the beginning of 2016.
As Vice President of Sales he focused on the realignment of the Sales Departement: he was responsible for the opening of another technical office in Graz and the classification of customers by keyaccounts and industries. With these measures the Sales Team is now able to support the customers by their needs.

In addition to South Tyrol and Slovenia, both are supported by Pilz  employees, Pilz Austria has assumed responsibility for the successes of the certified Pilz System Partners in Greece, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Northern Macedonia. System Partners are well acquainted with the use of Pilz products and systems but provide a local service.

Staying close to the customer is one of the central elements of Pilz worldwide and should remain so in the future. The created values that Pilz Austria has built up over the past 50 years mean security. Both for customers and partners who can rely on proven cooperation, but also for employees. Susanne Kunschert, who, together with her brother Thomas Pilz, heads pilz as managing partner of the Pilz group with 42 subsidiaries and over 2,500 employees worldwide, about the nomination of David Machanek as Managing Director Pilz Österreich: “Handing over the leadership to David Machanek ensures that the values that we have created as a family company are lived. My brother and I are very grateful for that“.

Renate Pilz was already dedicatet to that quotation in her successtory developing Pilz to the technology leader in safe automation technology. I would like to follow her example and will face current and future topics like decentralized Digitalization and Safety and Security issues actively, so Machanek.

The opportunities and challenges that arise for manufacturers and users alike should be countered by increasing the range of services, but also by developing customer-specific solutions with Pilz components.
