The automation of the future demands solutions that guarantee high availability on flexible plant concepts and are easy to manage. These properties are all combined in the automation system PSS 4000. Conventional automation uses a single, central controller to monitor the plant or machine and to process all the signals. With the automation system PSS 4000 you can network multiple controllers in accordance with the Multi-Master principle and yet each one runs autonomously. Your programming is independent from the hardware and you can decide later whether a function is to run in various controllers or just in one controller. This saves you time when programming and avoids errors. The optimum solution for modular and flexible plants in accordance with the Industrie 4.0 benchmark.
Smart products
Smart Products enable intelligent production processes and they promote the automation of the future. This is characterised by autonomous systems and networked plants and machinery. New challenges for machinery and IT safety are the result. It is a matter of course for us to face these challenges. Driven by the "Spirit of Safety", we already offer safe automation solutions of tomorrow - our Smart Products.

Modular diagnostics on safety devices provide independence
The new diagnostic solution Safety Device Diagnostics enables comprehensive diagnostic data to be retrieved simply and over distance, for use in remote maintenance for example. In this way service calls can be considerably reduced, increasing productivity significantly. The Safety Device Diagnostics package is easy to expand, thus supporting a modular machine design.
When used in conjunction with Pilz control systems, which already support a modular plant design, flexible safety concepts can be implemented with all solutions, completely in the spirit of the smart factory in accordance with Industrie 4.0.
