The safety and protection of our employees are the foundation of everything we do. We ensure compliance with legal regulations and Pilz guidelines. The safe management of hazards is essential for preventing all work-related illnesses and injuries. Working closely with other departments, managers, and employees, our QM-H&S experts help develop measures to prevent accidents and reduce technical risks, as well as environmental and health hazards.

Together, we aim to ensure that workplaces are healthy and safe. We intend to achieve this through the following principles and occupational safety objectives:

  • Systematically identify potential hazards to employees and develop and implement measures to eliminate or reduce these hazards
  • When implementing these measures, we follow the STOP principle
  • Provide regular instruction and training for employees in the context of their individual duties
  • Collect key performance indicators and accident statistics with the goal of continuous improvement
  • Comply with all legal requirements and the guidelines of accident insurance providers, in particular DGUV Regulation 1: Principles of Prevention
  • Involve our employees through suggestion programs, training, and site inspections
  • Maintain a workplace

Ambassadors for safety

Ambassadors for safety

As an “Ambassador for safety”, for decades Pilz has been committed to creating machinery safety standards. More than 30 experts from Pilz are actively working worldwide on around 100 product and application standards in almost 80 standards committees.

We share our knowledge: we have been offering customers a comprehensive training programme since the 70s. That’s why we founded the Pilz Academy. The trainers are engineers or technicians with many years of experience in safe automation technology.

Our training offer

Training and further education

For more than 40 years we have been training at the headquarters in Ostfildern, covering a large part of our demand for skilled labour in the process - that way we grow sustainably. In addition to around 20 apprenticeships, the company also offers the same number of dual study places. That way we give young people the opportunity to start their professional life in an innovative company and to learn a profession with a promising future.

Once new employees are on board, their continuing education is important to us at Pilz. So it’s not just customers, but also our own employees who receive regular training on relevant topics via the Pilz Academy.
