Holger Bode

Holger Bode

Holger Bode is responsible for the planning of press upgrades and new plant within the Presses working group at Pilz GmbH & Co. KG. Responsibilities include the development of full conversion measures and the production of control concepts, hazard assessments, risk analyses and safety concepts. He is also the Quality Manager of the accredited Pilz inspection body and the Fire Prevention Officer at Pilz. He shares his many years of international practical experience as a mechanical engineer in a variety of Pilz seminars spanning areas such as the inspection of optoelectronic protective devices and safe mechanical design.

Harald Elsäßer

Harald Elsäßer

Harald Elsäßer is a trainer for the Machinery Directive and Standards series of seminars. He also trains delegates in the Certified Machinery Safety Experts course. During his own training as a state-approved electrical engineer and industrial management expert and his activities as a consultant in Customer Support, he has been able to gain considerable practical experience in the tailor-made implementation of customer projects in particular. He is eager to teach delegates how to apply safety-related directives and standards correctly so that users are protected from accidents and companies can operate efficiently.

Jürgen Hasel

Jürgen Hasel

Jürgen Hasel is a trainer and consultant at Festo Didactic GmbH & Co. KG. He has been working closely with the training department of Pilz GmbH & Co. KG for many years. His seminars are focused on pneumatics, electropneumatics, valve terminals and safety technology. At Pilz he teaches the certified machinery safety expert course certified by TÜV NORD, which forms part of our product-neutral training. He is very much a people person and is particularly keen on mutual and interactive learning.

Ken de Leon

Ken de Leon

Ken de Leon completed his training as a communications electronics specialist at Pilz GmbH & Co. KG. He then attended technical college and qualified as a state-approved electrical engineer. He has been working for the Training and Education department at Pilz ever since, focusing on product training. He instructs in programmable controllers such as PNOZmulti, PSS 4000 and the basics of safety technology. During training, he is happy to be able to pass on his knowledge to others and to exchange views with seminar delegates.

Peter Mautner

Peter Mautner

Peter Mautner is state-approved electrical engineer and has worked for the Training and Education department at Pilz GmbH & Co. KG for many years. The main focus of his training activities are the configurable safety controllers, programmable controllers, camera-based 3D zone monitoring and the principles of safety technology. His experience in the field of control technology is based on his work as a project engineer, programmer and commissioning engineer of the PITRONIK P2, P9 and P10 PLCs. He believes it is important to teach safety technology because this allows people to be protected from harm.

Ulrich Merkel

Ulrich Merkel

Ulrich Merkel is a trainer, adviser and planner in Customer Support at Pilz GmbH & Co. KG and heads the independent inspection body accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS). He worked for many years as head of Electrical Design and can fall back on a wide range of practical experience. As an expert in the field of presses and press retrofitting for a very wide variety of press types, he also possesses a comprehensive knowledge of drive technology. In addition to these main topics, he also teaches in the speciality area of Electrical Equipment of Plant and Machinery. It gives him great pleasure to pass on his great wealth of experience to others.

Torsten Pusch

Torsten Pusch

Torsten Pusch played a key role in setting up the inspection body at Pilz GmbH & Co. KG and collected relevant experience as an application engineer in the programming of safety controllers and HMI systems. His activities in the Customer Support department are predominantly to do with consulting. He provides support in all processes involved in assessing conformity with the Machinery Directive. He is keen to ensure that seminar delegates know how to make optimum use of innovative safety technology in order to prevent accidents, while at the same time enabling a high level of machine efficiency.

Andreas Schott

Andreas Schott

Andreas Schott is responsible for the Training and Education division within Pilz GmbH & Co. KG. As group leader, he works with his team to produce educational and practically relevant training concepts for product-neutral seminars and product-specific courses. His many years of experience as a state-approved electrical engineer and software programmer have familiarised him with the practical requirements of customers when it comes to safety technology. He considers every single customer important and values direct dialogue with training delegates.

Matthias Wimmer

Matthias Wimmer

Matthias Wimmer is responsible for the Machinery Directive and Standards in the Pilz Academy. After studying electrical engineering, he spent many years as head of a laboratory and certifying body in a notified body as defined in the Machinery Directive. At Pilz GmbH & Co. KG he is responsible for consulting services in the Customer Support department. He also represents Pilz on several standards committees at European level. He finds the constant changes in statutory requirements and their interpretation a fascinating subject and wants to pass this on to others.

Udo Jensel

Udo Jensel

Udo Jensel is a state-examined precision engineering specialist and is responsible for the seminar series on machinery safety at the Pilz Academy; he also trains participants to become Certified Machinery Safety Experts. At Pilz GmbH & Co. KG, he has already acquired many years of experience as an application engineer in the area of hardware design and the programming of safety controllers. He was also instrumental in setting up the Consulting Division and can bring extensive knowledge of hazard assessment, risk analyses and safety concepts to the table. By virtue of his long-time experience as a commissioning engineer both in Germany and internationally, he is eager to pass on his knowledge of these complex topics to the course participants in as comprehensible and practical a way as possible.

Manja Conrad

Manja Conrad

Manja Conrad is employed in Pilz GmbH & Co. KG’s International Sales Support department and is responsible for international projects. She has enhanced her qualifications and intercultural experience with advanced training in the fields of communication, coaching and training. In her seminars, she combines her knowledge of the requirements of product-related training courses with a methodical and didactic ability. She especially enjoys communicating practice-oriented, versatile knowledge to those attending her seminars.

Judith Kneiding

Judith Kneiding

Judith Kneiding works as a management assistant in Innovation Management at Pilz GmbH & Co. KG. She is a certified trainer for adult education and also holds a coaching qualification from the German Coaching Association (DGfC). She has been giving seminars and workshops on her priority topic of Style and Etiquette for over 15 years. She strives for an interactive, practical and varied approach when putting across the content and enjoys talking to participants about the professional challenges they encounter. She relishes the opportunity to share her personal experience with others and seeks to inspire participants.

Michael Moog

Michael Moog

Michael Moog is the Standardisation Specialist at Pilz GmbH & Co. KG and in this role is responsible for coordination of international work on standards. He is a member of various standards committees and combines theoretical work with practical interpretation of standards. He also specialises in safety and product standardisation in the international arena and the corresponding national statutory frameworks. He shares this knowledge in such seminars as “Approval Procedures for Machines in North America”.
