The transformation of industry places increased requirements on functional safety and Industrial Security. Pilz is supporting this transition at the regional exhibitions “all about automation 2024”. The safety expert will be presenting its holistic solutions and services for greater Safety and Industrial Security at the machine. A thematic highlight: safe solutions for safety gate monitoring. Here Pilz will be showing its latest safety locking devices PSENmlock mini and PSENslock 2. In the Talk Lounge, the automation company will also be focusing on the new Machinery Regulation.

The Machinery Regulation will bring a number of changes, which businesses must consider. One significant change: implementation of Security is now mandatory. In other words, it must not be possible for safety functions on the machine to be manipulated, whether accidentally or on purpose. In the Talk Lounge, the automation expert will be explaining the changes around the new Machinery Regulation. In their presentation “The new Machinery Regulation: Get ready – changes are coming!”, Pilz will show what’s new and provide some direction amid the jungle of laws.
Reliable safeguarding for greater productivity
Comprehensive identification and access management protects plant or machine processes from manipulation or misuse. The modular safety gate system from Pilz is part of such a solution. Visitors to the stand can find out how it can be used to provide efficient safeguarding of flaps or gates, for example. The focus is on the safety locking devices PSENmlock mini and PSENslock 2. While PSENmlock mini is particularly space-saving and easy to install, PSENslock 2 offers maximum holding force and is also suitable for rugged environmental conditions. Both safety locking devices ensure greater productivity on the plant or machine.
Safe and Secure access control
Who should have access to the machine and when must be safely controlled. Particularly during maintenance work, humans must be protected. The Pilz “Key-in-pocket” solution for Safety und Industrial Security ensures that only authorised persons gain access to the machine. At “all about automation”, the safety expert will illustrate how this solution provides equal protection against a hazardous restart and manipulation during maintenance work. Above all, this system has its sights on extensive plants with a large number of safety fences. On its stand Pilz will demonstrate how, with “Key-in-pocket”, users can manage a large number of different safety gates safely and flexibly, and save time.
