The Pilz 2024 "Automation on Tour" seminar series starts from 29.01.2024 - Practical knowledge for machinery safety

From early 2024, Pilz will be out on the road across Germany with a new programme for its “Automation on Tour” seminar series. With a total of 32 dates for the in-person seminar “Machinery safety for manufacturers and operators,” delegates will gain practical knowledge on safety-related questions regarding their plant, free of charge. Anyone who can’t be there in person has the option to acquire, broaden or refresh their knowledge via the online format “Web compact”. The in-person seminars focus on the requirements of the new Machinery Regulation (MR) and the resulting safety-related questions.

The online seminars cover the widest range of subjects – from safety gate monitoring to “Smart automation in the packaging industry” and “Safety in battery cell production”.

Machinery Regulation explained simply, in practical terms
Published on 29.06.2023, the new MR has a transition period of 42 months. So sooner or later it will be mandatory for manufacturers and operators to deal with the specifications of the MR. Pilz provides support in its seminar series, with the aim of making machinery safety manageable and workable for everyone.
Using a practical example, the changes in comparison with the existing Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC are highlighted: for new machinery and also with reference to the impact on existing machinery. Which concepts apply, how do Safety and Security on the machine go hand in hand? So delegates have the ideal preparation.

Remote expertise from everywhere
In addition to the in-person events, interested parties can acquire, broaden or refresh their knowledge in the online format “Web compact”. Beyond the expertise needed in order to “Understand and implement the new Machinery Regulation”, the web seminar has a number of different subjects in its sights, such as “Optimisation of automation processes”, “Intelligent safety gate monitoring”, “Innovative approaches for safe machines with I/O Link Safety” or also “Smart automation in the packaging industry” and “Safety in battery cell production”.
