Pilz at IN.STAND Digital 2020, the virtual exhibition for maintenance and services - Increased availability and safety due to retrofit

Pilz will have a digital exhibition stand at IN.STAND Digital (21.–22. 10.2020), presenting its automation solutions and services for retrofitting plant and machinery. The accompanying “IN.STAND expert forum powered by Pilz” allows for additional knowledge sharing: bit-size knowledge conveyed in five online presentations

Via live chat, presentations, videos and numerous downloads, Pilz will demonstrate how to optimise the availability and safety of machinery through a tailored retrofit: instead of investing in new plant, let intelligent safety solutions for access control or safe motion monitoring increase the machine’s productivity. Intelligent support is available for the necessary maintenance work.

Safe access control during maintenance and operation
Innovative operating and maintenance concepts are becoming increasingly important as processes are digitised. That's why Pilz is exhibiting complete, safe solutions at IN.STAND. 
These include the modular operating mode selection and access permission system PITmode fusion. This enables efficient access control management, which simultaneously covers safety and security specifications. The reader unit PITreader systematically controls access permission to the machine: authorised machine operators are given access through their individual RFID transponder key.

Safe sensor technology for machine access
Operators protect their staff from hazardous machine movements by safeguarding access to machinery. Here Pilz offers a comprehensive sensor technology portfolio PSEN: from a safety switch for position monitoring and guards to area and zone monitoring with optical sensors and the modular safety gate system with a variety of safety gate sensors, plus pushbutton units and accessories. At IN.STAND Pilz will be showing how the combination of sensor technology and controller produces a safe and economical complete solution. Users save time and money during implementation of all the components and during operation – that includes safety and security. 

Services for all areas
Pilz will also have a digital presentation of its comprehensive range of international services, with consulting, engineering and training. In the chat room Pilz experts will be advising delegates on safety and automation issues relating to all phases of a machine’s life. Consulting at IN.STAND focuses in particular on retrofits.

The accompanying “IN.STAND expert forum powered by Pilz” allows maintenance and service engineers to share knowledge. Experts in the field will be delivering bite-size knowledge in five specialist presentations. The forum consists of five online presentations, providing information about current best-practice solutions and services in short, snappy 30-minute slots. Online seminars with delegate pre-registration complete the programme for the digital exhibition on the 2nd day.
