What exactly does a warehouse logistics specialist do?
Warehouse logistics specialists receive all types of goods and use the accompanying paperwork to check the quantity and quality. You organise the unloading of goods, sort them and store them appropriately in pre-designated spaces. In goods outwards, you plan delivery rounds and determine the most economical shipping method. You put the deliveries together, package the goods and produce the accompanying paperwork, such as delivery notes or customs declarations. You also load the trucks or containers, operate forklifts and secure the freight against slippage or leakage. Warehouse logistics specialists also optimise the internal information and material flow, from purchasing through to sales.
Which departments will an apprentice progress through in the course of their training?
During the course of the three-year apprenticeship you progress through all areas of our logistics, as well as departments both upstream and downstream. In doing so you will get to know all the processes and tasks, from goods inwards through to processing the shipment.
What do you need?
