The Pilz engine is still steaming at full throttle!

A new record for Pilz Canada: 50% growth compared with our record year 2020! Read the full statement from Andreas Sobotta, General Manager of Pilz Canada.

"The Pilz engine is still steaming at full throttle. 50% growth compared with our record year 2020! There was no summer slow down this year. Most of our customers were extremely busy. Plus, we are conducting now more face-to-face CMSE-trainings across Canada – the past three months we had about 50 people receiving the TUV license as a Certified Machinery Safety Expert.

The global shortage of raw material and chips are still affecting our lead times, however those have approved significantly for Pilz customers. For example, light curtains can be delivered within 3-4 weeks. And our HQ got very creative when it came to shortages of coloured granulate: Some of our housings are now transparent. Our pr-campaign “Safety gets transparent” already created several orders.

Also, we have local stock of the incredible new modular safety relay system, myPNOZ. This is a system that doesn’t require you to look for part numbers or think about how many relays you need for your application. You just enter the safety functions and sensors you require in the (free) myPNOZ-creator, and the software will spill out a BOM. You send it to your distribution partner or directly to us and we will assemble and test the final system, and send it to you. You create – We build – You install!

We exhibited at the CMTS show last week. The first large trade show after 18 months, and it turned out to be very positive for us. The show was surprisingly busy, and we received several great leads. Thanks to all the visitors of the show. This leads me to my next point: GTD – German Technology Day. We will have 2 face-to-face events, one in Toronto (Oct. 26th), one in Montreal (Nov. 2nd). This time we will have 7 highly recognized German companies participating. Since we were not sure how the Covid regulations will allow for in-person participation we decided to have a hybrid event. This means, that the Toronto event can also be attended virtually. All presentations will be live streamed! And of course, the virtual trade show booths will be accessible virtually. Only the food and drinks, that are free if you join us in person, will have to be provided by you. Please find more info at “Germantechnologyday.com” and register – spaces for the in-person events are limited due to the current rules. The events will be opened by the Consul of Toronto and Montreal, as well as a German State Minister. Don’t miss it. See you at the GTD in Toronto and Montreal.

Until then: Stay tuned, stay healthy and stay confident."
