Why does the Fault LED on the base unit PNOZmulti light up red after the chip card is exchanged?

Configurable small controllers PNOZmulti

The user program on the chip card must be identical to the user program in the internal memory of the base unit PNOZmulti. The PNOZmulti checks this each time it starts up. If the user programs are different, the Fault LED on the PNOZmulti lights up. To copy the user program from the chip card, the following steps must be taken.

PNOZ m0p / m1p / m2p / m3p:

  • Switch off the voltage supply to the PNOZmulti.
  • Insert the chip card containing the new user program into the device.
  • Insert a link between output OA0 and input i19.
  • Switch on the supply voltage.
  • DIAG-LED flashes yellow.
  • Switch off the supply voltage.
  • Remove the link between output OA0 and input i19.
  • Switch the supply voltage back on again.
  • The PNOZmulti starts up with the new program

PNOZmulti mini and PNOZmulti 2:

  • Switch off the voltage supply to the PNOZmulti.
  • Insert the chip card containing the new user program into the device.
  • Switch on the supply voltage.
  • If the display shows the project name and "Accept?", hold the rotary switch down for 5 seconds and then let go.
  • PNOZmulti starts up with the new program
