Risk Assessments: Keeping your machinery compliant and your employees safe

It often takes just one or two factors to cause an accident. If you build or retrofit machinery, a structured risk assessment is a fundamental priority in which to begin designing for safety. The goal of a risk assessment is to identify hazards, analyze the risks, and then apply the appropriate risk reduction measures. This should be done in accordance with the applicable national and/or international standards.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to recognize and define hazards and risks
  • How to prepare for a risk assessment
  • Understand the steps involved in a risk assessment
  • Know when you've reached an acceptable risk limit
  • How to eliminate or reduce risk exposure
  • Verify risk reduction applications
