REACH

Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 concerning the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals ("REACH" for short) came into force on 1 June 2007.

What do we mean by REACH?

REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. The REACH regulation will simplify and harmonise the existing EU chemical law. The regulation controls chemical handling plus handling of preparations and products containing chemicals, whether or not they are hazardous. It means that manufacturers and importers are responsible for the safety of their chemicals and must prepare the necessary data, e.g. safety data sheets, and have their products registered. It is intended to ensure that all chemicals and preparations are safe to use and do not damage downstream users, consumers or the environment.

How does this apply to Pilz?

By adhering strictly to the information in the safety data sheets provided by suppliers we guarantee not only to comply with health and safety plus environmental protection requirements, but also to put as little strain as possible on man and the environment.

We provide our customers with all the information they need to guarantee that our products are used in a safe, environmentally friendly manner.
