If the machine is to be put back into service in the same state, then no measures are required with regard to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. In this case the CE mark can be regarded as a type of passport within the EU.

We would like to relocate within the EU a machine that has been built and certified in accordance with the Machinery Directive 98/37/EC. May this machine be put back into service in this way?
