Two-channel lines that are not routed within a protected electrical mounting area must be monitored in accordance with the desired performance level (PL). This can be achieved through higher level test pulses or +/- switching circuits, depending on which safety relay is used.
Dual-channel routes can also be monitored for feasibility.
