New products and solutions at the Hannover Messe
"We automate. Safely" will be the slogan at our stand in Hannover, where we will be showcasing new products, industry solutions and services for safety and automation. They will help you automate your plant and machinery even more productively and cost-effectively – with complete safety.
What's new at the Hannover Messe
Pilz will be celebrating a world premiere at its stand: the new light grids PSENopt II are the first type 3 light grids that can be used for category PL d applications in accordance with IEC/EN 61496. Since the standard was revised in May 2015, users needing to meet PL d requirements have had to install type 4 devices. This leads to higher costs in the field even though type 4 is not actually required. In the PSENopt II, Pilz has come up with an economical, tailor-made light grid solution that bridges the gap in the standard.
Another product we will be launching is the new safety gate system PSENmlock. It offers safe interlocking and guard locking for the protection of personnel and processes to the highest category PL e in one device.
Also new is the Safety Device Diagnostics, which allows data to be retrieved remotely and over long distances, reducing both service operations and downtimes.
It's not only for sensors that a good overview ensures greater availability. In Hannover, Pilz will be presenting the new operator terminal PMI 6 Control from the PMI product series, which comes configured with a soft PLC.
Robotics and Industrie 4.0 – tomorrow's world today
As well as new products, Pilz will be putting key themes of the future at the forefront of its stand, with live demonstrators for human-robot collaboration, such as the Robokicker, and Industrie 4.0. You will be able to see for yourself how safe collaboration between human and robot can be achieved even without a safety barrier. You'll also find out how you can already exploit the benefits of Industrie 4.0 in your production today.
Here's a sporting challenge for you: test yourself against our Robokicker!
The football European Championships in June are looming on the horizon. Everyone who challenges our fully automated Robokicker at the fair will receive a European Championships planner. The kicker is controlled by the proven safe drive technology PMC. The configurable control system PNOZmulti 2 ensures the safety of the light grids.
