From the end of December, the so-called Corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) has spread worldwide. Even now, the safety of our employees, customers and the supply chain have our highest priority. As the virus continues to spread, Pilz took additional measures. Any business travels of Pilz employees to countries classified as risk areas are in principle suspended, and otherwise, they are only permitted with express authorisation of the management. Direct customer contact and customer care are guaranteed by telephone, videoconferences and our Customer Support.
Participation in exibitions is examined
The current situation also influences various exhibitions and events worldwide. Pilz currently checks in what exhibitions, some of them postponed, to take part, and alternatives to inform about product news and automation solutions. Due to the unclear further development, Pilz has already decided not to participate in this year’s Hannover Messe that was already postponed to July.
Pilz supply chain is safe
The Corona virus has basically no influence on our delivery capability: To continue to best supply our customers, we transferred the production of some products from the Chinese factory to the European works. They currently work under intense pressure. We will inform you early about product alternatives if any bottlenecks should occur.
We apologise for any inconvenience. With these measures, we want to contribute to the protection of all. Keep well and fit!
