Generally speaking, personal protective equipment is not counted as work equipment in accordance with the industrial safety regulations (BetrSichV). It falls within the scope of the health and safety regulation for the use of personal protective equipment at work (PSA-BV). Here too there are some exceptions, such as gas cylinders for breathing appliances, for example.
