CE marking

If a machine has two operator panels, must these be mutually interlocked? The machine is a maximum of 3x4m in size and is to be operated from two sides.

Essentially it is necessary to ensure that an unsafe state cannot arise if operating commands overlap.

- Selection of operating mode.
- Initiation of machine movements

The simplest way to ensure this is to have mutual interlocking. This means that only the activated panel has operating permission at any one time. Emergency stop control devices must be installed on both panels and these must always be active.
