When do you need to carry out forced dynamisation?

The risk assessment that must be produced for every machine will determine whether forced dynamisation is required.
If continuous monitoring of states of parts of the control system is not possible for technical reasons, then forced dynamisation must be provided.

Example: Motor brakes generally do not have reliable signal outputs with regard to the state of the brakes, "open/closed". So, for a case where one channel of the 2-channel holding system is implemented with motor brakes, forced dynamisation (cyclical brake test) is provided as a fault detection measure for the motor brake.
