The special feature of the new software version is the new IO-Link Configurator editor that enables you to configure up to four IO-Link devices per IO-Link-module. Using the IO-Link Device Description files (IODD), IO-Link devices from any third party can be configured with ease. These devices can be configured online and offline, as well as forcing and monitoring of their process data. Further enhancements have been added for the configuration of the two existing supported fieldbuses within the PSS u2 world: PROFINET IRT & Ethernet IP.
