Reliable automation solutions for Southeast Asia – Pilz opens a subsidiary in Singapore

The automation company Pilz is expanding support to its customers in Southeast Asia: Together with guests from the worlds of politics and business, Pilz celebrated the opening of its newest subsidiary - Pilz South East Asia - in Singapore. From Singapore, customers in the ASEAN region will receive comprehensive support from a dedicated sales and service organisation.

In addition to sales of products and systems, the newest subsidiary - “Pilz South East Asia” - offers its regional customers a complete service and support portfolio, including technical consulting, customer project support and training.

Southeast Asia, an emerging market
The newly founded subsidiary strengthens Pilz’s commitment to one of the fastest-growing economic areas in the world, the ASEAN region. In addition to Singapore, the region includes such countries as Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, and is home to about 600 million people. From their base in the city-state of Singapore, Denis Tan Chong Ghee - managing director of Pilz South East Asia - and his team will create the necessary structures to allow Pilz to further build up sales and service capacity in other ASEAN countries.

Growing demand for engineering services
Renate Pilz - Chair of the Board - highlighted these points at the opening ceremony: “As an ambassador of safety for personnel, machines and the environment, Pilz wants to share its knowledge and heighten safety awareness here in the Southeast Asian market”. “Wherever things are being automated, the emphasis placed on safety standards is rising. Our commitment to the region allows us to fulfil the increasing demand for timely, intensive support, especially in the areas of consulting and engineering services”.

Pilz celebrated the opening of its newest subsidiary - Pilz South East Asia - in Singapore. Together with Minister of State Dr. Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman (right), Renate Pilz - Chair of the Board - signed a plaque in commemoration.
