Since 1. April 2016 Martin Frey has been the new Head of sales at Pilz. Frey used to work as the head of the Southwest Sales Region at Pilz. He follows Stefan Olding, who left the company of his own accord. Frey wants to expand the sales network of Pilz in Germany, and intensify customer contact together with his sales staff on site.

Diplom-Ingenieur Frey, 51, has over 25 years of experience in Automation Technology. After studying Energy Technology, Martin Frey gained comprehensive experience in the areas of Development, Application and Product Management in Automation and Safety Technology. In 2001 Mr. Frey came to Pilz and he started as a Product Manager before moving into Sales in 2005. Since 2011 he has been responsible for the Southwest Sales Region as a Regional Manager.
Competence meets customer
One of Mr. Frey's focuses of his activity lies in intensifying customer care with a competent and responsibly acting Sales Team. "Pilz wants to connect technical competence with high product and service quality and greater proximity to customers, thereby continuing to expand its leading position as a complete safe automation supplier", explains Frey. The around 100 events help in this, among them fairs, and the "Automation on Tour" roadshow that Pilz presents this year in the sales regions.
2016 even closer to the customer
Sales is built up decentralised at Pilz in Germany: Under the management of Martin Frey, teams are active in six sales regions. On-site, external sales is responsible for active customer service and care, and there are further office-based contacts responsible for order processing. In the regions, the teams are expanded by the experts of Technical Systems Selling and the experts from Customer Support, who implement service projects with the customers on-site. In 2016 Pilz will continue to expand its Sales staff and also Customer Support.
