IO-Link Safety comes to life: IO-Link Safety technology is available; the first devices are being developed and have already been tested. Eight manufacturers have now come together to demonstrate their IO-Link Safety solutions live at SPS in Nuremberg. The demonstrator covers all communication levels, from failsafe PLC to IO-Link Safety master and IO-Link Safety devices. For the first time, both worlds, i.e. IO-Link Safety and IO-Link Standard, will be combined in one application.
We're there with two IO-Link Safety products. They forward both safety-related and non-safety-related data to the higher level IO-Link Safety master. This mixed communication mode enables both safety-related and non-safety-related data to be exchanged with the same IO-Link device. This makes IO-Link Safety very powerful.
