The PSSuniversal I/O modules can communicate with external, higher level control systems via Modbus TCP, Raw-TCP, Raw-UDP and Ethernet IP. The Ethernet communication interfaces can be configured in the software platform PAS4000 via the IP Connections Editor. The fieldbus systems ProfiNET and PROFIBUS are also available, along with the safe fieldbus system PROFIBUS PROFIsafe.
