Interactive Systems Designer (Fixed Term Contract)

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will work with a team of talented professionals in a dynamic, challenging and fast paced environment where customer focus is essential, a non-hierarchial approach is the norm. As Interactive Systems Designer working with our International Services Group (ISG) you will use cutting edge training technologies to develop interactive training based applications based on specific technical requirements that meet our customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with other team members in the development of interactive training based applications using different technologies (e.g. HTMS5, 3D modelling software such as SketchUp or Blender, Game Developement such as Unreal Engine/Unity)

  • Contribute to the documentation of user based requirements

  • Define the techncal specifications and constraints for application development

  • Develop suitable working plans within your areas of responsibility

  • Develop and integrate different elements of multimedia into one platform

Candidate Profile

You will be self-organised, strongly motivated, energetic and upbeat; take a logical and systematic approach to problem solving; be a perfectionist who strives for timely completion of projects; have the ability to prioritise the urgency of multiple requests and then take charge of these to meet deadlines; and you have:

Essential

  • BSc in a related field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Multimedia

  • 3D modelling experience, preferably using SketchUp or Blender

  • Competence in 3D animation using key framing, motion paths, Scripts etc.

  • Exporting 3D models in various formats for use in different software

  • Experience of developing simulations/interactive environments within a game development engine, preferably using Unreal Engine or Unity

  • Optimising and exporting simulations/interactive environments to run on mobile/tablet devices

  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and other web technologies

  • Experience of video editing, preferably using Camtasia Studio

  • Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals is an advantage

  • Previous experience developing commercial web applications

  • Previous experience developing game or virtual reality applications
