As soon as the safety laser scanner PSENscan is rotated by more than 30° from the horizontal, the application is classed as a vertical application. In this case the laser scanner must consider reference points - similar to SafetyEYE - so that any distortion of the scanner will be noticed. However, unlike SafetyEYE, a reference point may be any object within the radius of the scanner and does not require any special marking. PSENscan will support vertical applications in a future version.
